MYCELIUM CRAFTED, FUTURE MINDED
Aifunghi means “with mushrooms” in Italian, and pays homage to mycelial fungi. The material that shapes our vision of a sustainable future for living.
Every piece of furniture begins with a material, and for Aifunghi, that story starts in nature. By blending organic materials with thoughtful design, we create high-end furniture & lighting that brings together environmental responsibility, craftsmanship, and refined aesthetics.
Joyful objects, grown from the earth, crafted with care & empathy from materials that safely return to the ground they came from.
Our core material is Mycelium Based Composite (MBC), an innovative organic material.
Mycelium is the underground network through which forests communicate. A branching web of threads that binds, nourishes, and renews. Combined with Hemp fibre, Mycelium grows into a material of surprising rigidity, warmth, and textural depth.
The manufacturing process is as harmless to people and the environment as the material itself, being completey free of toxins or synthetics.
And at the end of its life, each piece of MBC composts fully, returning to the same earth that made it.
